Anne Ervin '91 has joined Parkridge Health System as the TriStar market leader for physician and provider relations for the Chattanooga and North Georgia markets.

Andrea Shelton '91 Reappointed by Governor


Andrea Shelton was reappointed by Governor Deal to the State Board of Corrections.  Shelton is president and founder of HeartBound Ministries.  She received the Spirit of Oglethorpe Award from Oglethorpe University in 2005

OU Alum Named New National Science Foundation Fellow


Zachary Vealey '13, now at Yale in a Ph.D. program in Physical Chemistry, was recently recognized as one of only 35 students who were named new National Science Foundation Fellows for 2015!

From the Alumni Relations Office - we are very sorry to announce that Susie Sharfman, our Director of Alumni Relations, will be leaving us. Susie stepped in this year and did a terrific job working with the Alumni Board, bringing Alumni Weekend to life and successfully directing a number of year-end events for our seniors and Golden Petrels. We will miss her positive outlook and attitude and wish her nothing but the best! Lucky for us she is staying close by, so we can call for her advice and a smile!

Liberal Arts and Sciences Symposium (LASS) 2015


The Liberal Arts and Sciences Symposium (LASS) will take place next Thursday, April 2. This is a day-long celebration of academic excellence through panel discussion and presentations by students. Day classes are canceled on this date so that all members of the Oglethorpe community may participate, including our alums!
